I had many interests while growing up, all of which took a distant second place or worse when I discovered the outdoors. In June of 2003, I hiked to the top of my first peak and have been hooked ever since. My interests quickly evolved to include climbing, travel, and photography, and now in a typical year I’ll spend 30 days in a tent and put 700+ miles under my feet.   

     In May of 2008 I picked up my first DSLR camera and have carried it whenever possible. I normally pair the Nikon D60 with an 18-200mm Nikkor f/3.5-5.6 lens, or I'll carry a Canon Powershot when weight/size is a concern. Photos taken before May of 2008 were shot with random point-and-shoot digital cameras, but sometimes you can't tell :)
